In horror cinema, the classic monster is one of the common shocker motifs. But director Jeremy Gardner uses it in his little independent drama AFTER MIDNIGHT as a symbol for the inner life of his main character, played by himself, who has to deal with the fact that his girlfriend, who actually loves him, disappears from one day to the next without a trace. “After Midnight” is scheduled to hit USA cinemas on July 16, 2020.
